Alfred B. Rasho

I have been a professional photographer and filmmaker for over thirty years. My career was more focused on the film side, but while working as a Director of Photography on a documentary film in Sudan and Egypt, I renewed my love for the still image. With photography, I felt more intimacy and a connection with my subject. I was able to take my eye away form the viewfinder to feel my surroundings, and communicate with my subject.

Landscapes, faces and storytelling captivate me. As a prerequisite to producing images that tell stories, whether in film or photography, one needs to be fascinated with human dynamics, the dynamics of 7 billion of us roaming the planet—at least, that is what drives me. www.abrasho.com
