2007: Harold! Photographs from the Harold Washington Years — (Northwestern University Press) featuring photos by Antonio Dickey and Marc PoKempner, with text by Salim Muwakkil, edited by Ron Dorfman.
2000: Down at Theresa’s — Chicago Blues published by Prestel, Munich. A collection of 90 b&w photos from 25 years’ work in Chicago’s neighborhood blues clubs, introduction by Wolfgang Schorlau.
2000: “Elian’s Cuba” 7 page photo essay published in Newsweek Magazine, April 19 issue on the lives of Elian Gonzales’ classmates in Cardenas, Cuba.
1972 to present: Independent photojournalist. Primarily work on assignment for magazine clients: New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, Time, Fortune, Forbes, Business Week, In These Times, Village Voice, Rolling Stone, Chicago Magazine, People, Mother Jones, the Chicago Reader, and others.Work for corporate publications and for not-for-profit organizations: Casey, Ford, Joyce, MacArthur, Sara Lee and Steans Foundations, NHS of Chicago, LISC, National Equity Fund, etc.  Stock photographs available through Picade photo agency, and directly – http://www.pokempner.net
